American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU) position offering night shift hours and no experience requirement, requiring an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in an 18-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) within a hospital setting
• Care for critical care and telemetry patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics
• Gain experience across critical care, telemetry, and med-surg acuity levels
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week at 0.9 FTE, 5 days per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document according to scope of practice and hospital policy
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Coordinate individualized treatment planning with the interdisciplinary care team
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and infection control measures
• Promote a positive, healing environment through holistic, patient and family-centered care
