American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 2 years of cath lab experience and active TX or compact RN license, with on-call responsibilities included.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Cath lab performs emergency and elective angioplasty, drug-eluting stents, electrophysiology, and pacemaker implantation procedures
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 5x8-hour shifts per week (40 hrs/week)
• On-call required one day per week and one weekend per month (Friday 3:30 PM through Monday 6:30 AM)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-issued certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of prior U.S. hospital experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab specialty required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with monitoring, diagnostic, and therapeutic electrophysiology studies required
• Recent acute care experience required
• U.S. Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Provides patient care in accordance with current licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
• Candidate is expected to help educate facility staff — strong knowledge-sharing and communication skills are a plus
• Familiarity with Micropace equipment is helpful but not required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
