American Traveler is seeking an experienced MICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Medical ICU (MICU) unit within a 407-bed acute care hospital
• Magnet-designated facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Weekends required
• Floating to like units may be required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• On-call is not required
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active Alaska (AK) RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• RTO is approved on an individual basis — all requested time off must be disclosed upfront, and minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
• A pending AK RN license may be considered, but the license must be in hand for an offer to be extended
