Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU Float position requiring critical care expertise, ventilator management, and willingness to float to PCU, with night shifts available in a 20-bed unit.

Details

• 20-bed ICU unit with floating responsibilities to PCU as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends and holidays required as needed
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Meditech Expanse is the EMR system (strongly preferred)

Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand — facility will not pend licensure, no exceptions
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of current critical care experience
• Proficiency with ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Willingness to float to PCU is required
• Own personal vehicle required
• BSN preferred
• TNCC preferred
• Critical Care skills checklist (current within 1 year) required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application — scheduling requests will not be approved at or after the time of offer, and late requests may result in a rescinded offer
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
