American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Geriatric Psych position at a behavioral health facility in Fort Wayne, IN, requiring at least 2 years of psych experience and flexibility to float across multiple units.

Details

• New 120-bed behavioral health facility located in Fort Wayne, IN
• Potential to float across Adolescent, Adult, and 55+ Geriatric Psych units based on facility need
• Low-acuity adult patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• 13-week contract
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:30pm)
• 36 hours per week required, including every other weekend
• EHR system is WellSky; medication system is Omnicell

Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• De-escalation experience is a plus; Handle with Care or CPI training preferred

Additional Information

• Facility is newly opened and currently expanding unit by unit
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates living within 30 miles of the facility are eligible for local rates; those living beyond 30 miles qualify for travel rates
• ASAP starts only — candidates must be available to begin immediately
