Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric PACU position at a children's hospital in SW Florida, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU and pediatric experience with an active FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a children's hospital
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week, running 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities are required for this position
• Floating is required; travelers are the first to float and may be assigned to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• Degree from an accredited nursing program required, or a minimum of 5 years of RN experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• Travelers are expected to function as core staff members; cultural fit and being a team player are highly valued at this facility
• No block scheduling requests will be accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to submission, as the facility will not approve RTO after an offer is made
• Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be physically present at the facility on that day for badge/ID processing
