American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology position requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience, APHON Chemotherapy certification, and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient pediatric hematology/oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Patient population includes pediatric oncology and hematology patients with varying complexity of health needs
• Administers IV infusions, blood products, and chemotherapy under established protocols

Requirements

• Active OK state RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• At least 6 months of Level I trauma experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (both from AHA), and APHON Chemotherapy
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting patient physiological data, administering medications, assisting physicians, and coordinating discharge education with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members
• Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) are strictly enforced and must be completed promptly after acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
• Workers who have previously completed an assignment at this facility may extend one time for a maximum total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before beginning a new contract
• First-time travelers are not explicitly welcomed — at least 1 year of RN experience is required
