American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN with a valid NY license for a long-term care assignment in Vestal, NY, caring for Alzheimer's and dementia residents on evening shifts.

Details

• State/government-run long-term care facility offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care services
• Long-term care unit (LTC) serving Alzheimer's and dementia patient populations
• 300-bed facility with a nurse-to-resident ratio of 1:18–20
• Evening shifts, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week (14:45–23:15)
• Every other weekend required upon facility request
• Charting via PointClickCare (PCC); prior experience not required

Requirements

• Active NY State LPN/LVN license required; no license violations permitted — NY license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; candidates with recent rehab, med-surg, or hospital experience will also be considered
• Current BLS certification required
• Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability required
• Proof of NY State license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer medications and treatments, perform accurate medication passes, monitor and report changes in resident condition, complete timely documentation, and supervise CNAs on assigned units
• Any shift change requests are not permitted once an offer has been accepted
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made; candidates cannot take every holiday off
• Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours advance notice
• Compliance process takes approximately 1.5–2 weeks
• Relias training modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to the assignment start date; module access is sent via email within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Solid-color scrubs and closed-toe shoes required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Parking is free on-site
• Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
