American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN with Epic proficiency and trauma experience for a Level I Trauma Center position in Oregon requiring an active OR RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital
• Patient population includes trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, sepsis, and patients with complex medical or substance use histories
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Procedures performed include moderate and deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveries
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• 3x12-hour evening/night shifts with start times of 1300, 1500, 1700, or 1900
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating within the hospital is required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending licensure accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board
• Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Current Epic experience required
• Trauma experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC preferred
• COVID vaccination proof required — no exemptions
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and coordinating interventions, and performing or assisting with a wide range of ED procedures and treatments
• Solid-color scrubs required (no prints); scrubs are provided for OR staff
• Local candidates are accepted
• RTO requests must not exceed 1 week
• Candidates who were previously employed at or on assignment with this health system must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
