Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of endoscopy experience and strong IV skills, with an on-call rotation including weekends and holidays.

Details

• Hospital-based Endoscopy/GI Lab setting
• Approximately 25 procedures performed per day, with a 75% outpatient and 25% inpatient case mix
• Unit also supports Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) procedures 3 times per week
• EMR: Epic and Provation
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), 40 hrs/week, Monday–Friday
• Weekday on-call begins at end of scheduled shift and runs until 7:00 AM the following morning; weekdays with no scheduled cases convert to on-call days
• Typical weekday on-call commitment is approximately 3 times per week
• Weekend and holiday on-call is structured in 24-hour blocks (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), with a typical commitment of approximately 3 weekends per 6-week rotation
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA only) and ACLS required
• PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience required
• Strong IV skills required
• Must pass an ECG competency exam on Day 1 (pass/fail, one attempt)

Additional Information

• Nurses assist with pre-op, intra-op (timeout and documentation), and post-op care for ECT procedures
• Maroon scrubs are provided on the unit
