American Traveler is seeking an experienced Infusion RN for a day shift position at a critical access hospital in Vermont, requiring a VT or compact RN license, BSN, and infusion/port access experience.

Details

• Infusion Center setting within a community, not-for-profit, critical access hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT
• Serves approximately 15–20 patients per day in a busy outpatient infusion environment
• Infusion RN responsibilities include IV medication administration, port access, and patient monitoring
• Day shift schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or multistate compact RN license currently in hand
• BSN required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Infusion RN and port access experience required
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering IV therapies per INS standards, coordinating scheduling and prior authorizations, reviewing clinical orders, and communicating with providers and payers
• Patient and family education on treatment plans, with thorough documentation in the EHR, medication administration logs, and transfusion records
• CRNI certification preferred but not required
• One year of acute care experience preferred
• Flu vaccination is required with no exceptions
• Travelers begin their assignment on Wednesdays
• Public transportation and rideshare services are not available in the area — reliable personal transportation is essential
• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing; local housing resources are available upon request
