American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Float Pool position at a large inpatient psychiatric facility, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience with a background in psych or behavioral health settings.

Details

• Float pool position covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units within a 337-bed psychiatric hospital
• Patient populations include children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient behavioral health units
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating across units is expected as a core function of this role
• No on-call requirements
• Charting is done in Sunrise EMR
• Free parking available throughout the campus

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• At least 6 months to 1 year of psych or behavioral health nursing experience required
• Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float pool nurses serve as experienced leads across all 19 inpatient units, including pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations
• May be required to serve as charge RN during a shift
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted
• Up to 1 pre-approved RTO allowed during the contract
