American Traveler is seeking an experienced IV Therapy RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring a minimum of 2 years of IV/venous access experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• All day shift positions operate on a rotating schedule
• 13-week contract
• Hospital-based IV Therapy unit
• Patient population spans all ages: neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
• Core IV Therapy competencies include: peripheral IV insertion, CVAD dressing changes, non-tunneled CVAD removal, thrombolytic reconstitution/instillation/removal, implanted port access/de-access, PICC repositioning, and ultrasound-guided IV line placement
• Charting is performed in Epic
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience on an IV/venous access team
• Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion, ultrasound-guided IVs, and PICC line insertion
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• BSN preferred
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Candidates must achieve and maintain all core IV Therapy skills and competencies required by the department
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the Boston facility are eligible but will receive a reduced travel pay rate
• Time and attendance is tracked via UKG/Kronos
• No validated parking is available at the Boston location; public transportation is recommended, and public parking rates range from $17–$22 per day
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
