American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in the South Chicago area, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience with the ability to circulate in ENT and ortho.

Details

• Surgical setting with 6 OR suites — 5 general and 1 urology
• Patient population includes general, GYN, urology, ENT, vascular, spinal, dental, and complex surgical cases
• 10-hour day shifts starting at 0645, 40 hours per week
• On-call required 2–3 times per week, with one weekend call per month
• Weekend call consists of 24 hours on Saturday and 12 hours the following Sunday, rotating approximately every 4–5 weeks
• Holiday call coverage required for one summer and one winter holiday
• No floating requirement for RNs
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
• Must be able to circulate in ENT and orthopedic cases; scrub ability highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience
• One professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year
• Candidate's middle name or initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

• Department support includes a unit secretary and a charge nurse who takes an assignment
• Orientation consists of a hospital orientation session and 1 shift on the unit
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
