Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel contract at a hospital emergency department in Maryland, requiring a MD or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department with 47 beds and an average daily census of 130 patients
• Patient population spans all age ranges (infant to geriatric) with complex, varied diagnoses in a fast-paced setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shifts (19:00–07:30) available as 3x12 (36 hrs/week) or 4x12 (48 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating required within the specialty
• No pre-scheduled on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required; 2 years preferred
