American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) position at an acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and cardiac monitoring experience.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry (MSU) unit of a 528-bed acute care Magnet-recognized teaching hospital in Rochester, NY
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday coverage required, as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Floating within skillset is required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Cardiac monitoring responsibilities include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Clinical skills required include nasal cannula and non-invasive oxygen administration, IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care/management, and isolation precautions

Requirements

• Active NY single-state RN license currently in hand (NY is not a Compact state)
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; valid NIHSS must be included for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

• Hospital is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park
• Specialized hospital programs include the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute, Lipson Cancer Institute, Neuroscience Institute, and advanced surgical programs including vascular, thoracic, and surgical oncology
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy blue and white
