American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Orange, CA, requiring at least 2 years of recent ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 13-week travel contract at a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• ICU unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• High acuity ICU experience is highly preferred
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required; may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
• Floating required up to 100% of shifts, including to the DSU (Day Surgery Unit) and potentially between all facilities within California
• No on-call required
• Charts in Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site
• RNs wear royal blue scrubs

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• High acuity ICU experience highly preferred
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Travel pairs will not be considered

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; candidates within 50 miles may still be considered at a local rate
• Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
• Travelers who refuse float assignments may be subject to termination of their assignment
• Block scheduling is available at manager's discretion
