American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN for a float pool position requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience, including experience in a psych or behavioral health setting.

Details

• Float pool position covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units
• Patient populations include children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient psychiatric units
• Located within a dedicated psychiatric hospital with 337 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating across units is expected as a core function of this role
• No on-call requirements
• Charting performed in Sunrise EMR
• Free employee parking available throughout the campus

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting required
• Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start

• Float nurses serve as the more experienced clinical staff across all inpatient units, requiring adaptability and independent clinical decision-making
• RNs may be assigned charge nurse responsibilities during a shift
