American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at a Level III Trauma Center requiring 2 years of ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to pass an EKG exam.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• ICU unit with a patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus
• No on-call requirements
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must pass an EKG exam — no exceptions
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are generally not preferred; consideration may be made at manager's discretion based on years of experience
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general guideline of up to 4 days per contract
• Only one holiday off may be approved per contract
• Scrub colors required: royal blue and white
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before being required to be gone for 6 months prior to returning
