American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry position requiring an active IL RN license, prior travel experience, and proficiency with high-acuity drips and specialized procedures.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) telemetry setting within a hospital system with multiple locations spanning Level 1 through Level 4 trauma centers
• Patient population requires proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip management required, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban with some titration
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration; IA RN license also required (proof of application accepted if not yet active)
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel contract preferred
• Experience with high-acuity procedures including chest tubes, trachs, central lines, and vasoactive drip titration
• A supervisory reference from within the past 2 years of employment or contract required
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify at the standard travel pay rate
• Must not have been employed by UnityPoint within the last 12 months
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week and holiday/New Year's window
• Skills checklist must have been completed within 1 year of consideration
