American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active IL RN license and hands-on experience with drips, titration, and advanced procedures.

Details

• PCU/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting, with trauma levels varying by location (Level 1–4)
• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip management required, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban with titration
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; IA RN license also required (proof of application accepted if not yet active)
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required and must be active at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with advanced procedures including chest tubes, central lines, trachs, CBIs, femstops, and drains
• Proficiency with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• Must not have been employed by UnityPoint Health within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• At least one completed travel contract is preferred
• Candidates must have a taxable home address located more than 50 miles from the facility
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• RTO during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's holiday windows is limited to 1 day per window
• Prior travel experience preferred but not explicitly required for first-time travelers
