American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KS or compact license and prior ED experience with behavioral health patients.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Higher volume of behavioral health patients
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Direct patient care coordination across multiple disciplines

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
• TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Certification required, with updates per group schedule
• CPI/MOAB High Risk training required, including online and on-site portions
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment

Additional Information

• Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the care team
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
• Ceil blue scrubs required as the unit uniform
• CPI/MOAB High Risk on-site training portion completed during orientation
• Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply and could affect pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
