American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg position in Urbana, IL, requiring active IL RN licensure, Epic experience, and Level 1 Trauma background.

Details

• Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit (CT6B) in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes post-operative cardiovascular cases such as CABG (post-op day one), thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Approximately 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required on a departmental rotation basis
• No floating requirements
• Epic EMR — experience required
• Candidates must interview with the facility leader prior to selection

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct post-operative nursing care to CVMS patients, including plan of care development, nursing interventions, and continuous patient evaluation
• Responsible for hourly rounding, safety reporting, and maintaining accurate nursing documentation
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Travelers who have been on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning
