American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a CVICU Night position requiring 2 years of experience and a valid OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting within the CVICU
• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15
• Works every other weekend
• May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed with brief orientation provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central/PICC line care
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, and assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
• Skilled in CVVHD/CRRT and management of acute/chronic renal failure
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and IV insulin protocols
• Cardiovascular skills including Impella management, sheath removal, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure

Additional Information

• Navy scrub color required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
