American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Medical-Surgical ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

• Medical-Surgical ICU setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients experience
• Experience with ABG interpretation and ETT/NT suctioning
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• IV insulin protocol experience

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical ICU environment
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris counties will not be accepted
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not accepted
• Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• All RTO must be listed at time of consideration
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
