American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU (Coronary Care Unit) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• Coronary Care Unit (CCU) setting within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Weekend requirement: 5 shifts within a 6-week period
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday
• No floating requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required (temp license accepted)
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Proficiency with ventilator management, cardiac monitor interpretation, intracranial pressure monitoring, and central venous pressure monitoring

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after reaching that threshold
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementing nursing interventions, and continuous evaluation and modification of care plans
• Department-specific duties include working with ventilated patients for early mobility, collaborating with the care team, monitoring specialized equipment, and responding to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocol
• Utilizes meaningful hourly rounding, bedside report, and whiteboards to ensure effective communication with patients and families
