American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Psychiatric position in Maine, requiring a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience and CPI training for a 13-week day shift contract.

Details

• Inpatient behavioral health unit at a regional medical center in Maine
• Adolescent psychiatric population, treating children and adolescents ages 6–18
• Primary diagnoses include major depression and ADD/ADHD
• 3x 12-hour day shifts per week
• Floating to Chemical Dependency/Detox unit is required

Requirements

• Active Maine RN license or compact license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; 1–3 years working with adults preferred
• Must have a clean background and license history
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage stress in challenging situations

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include medication administration and patient education, daily care documentation, behavior monitoring, and leading or participating in education groups
• Works alongside an interdisciplinary team to deliver both direct and indirect patient care
• No COVID-19 vaccination requirement for this position
• Previous employees of this facility are not eligible for consideration
• Maine residents must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
