American Traveler is hiring an experienced EP Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring at least 3 years of EP Lab experience, AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, and an active SC or Compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a 304-bed facility
• Assignment in the EP Lab unit
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts (0700–1730), though shift end times may vary as staff remain until procedures are complete
• No on-call, weekend, or floating requirements
• Epic EMR used (experience preferred)
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for the EP Lab

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must be fully licensed prior to start
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 3 years of EP Lab RN experience required
• Proficiency in Activated Clotting Time (ACT) monitoring required
• Experience with cardioversion, circulating procedures, and monitoring procedural sedation required
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias required
• Experience obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG required
• A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the staffing agency prior to start
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Completion of online orientation modules is required prior to the assignment start date
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
• Parking is available at no cost via parking lots and garages; a parking pass is distributed at badge pickup (note: garages have clearance limitations for larger vehicles)
