American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an EP/Cath Lab position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring active Cath Lab experience and on-call availability for a 13-week contract.

• Works in a two-room Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Suite within a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Adult patient population with diagnoses including Coronary Artery Disease, Myocardial Infarction, Unstable Angina, Aortic/Mitral Valve Disease, and Peripheral Vascular Disease
• Procedures performed include diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterizations, stent implants, IABP, Impella, EKOS, Rotablator, IVUS, FFR, Penumbra, Pericardiocentesis, Shockwave, IVC filters, TEEs, Cardioversions, TAVRs, and MitraClips (in conjunction with hybrid OR)
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00–17:30) Monday through Friday
• On-call is required 6–9 days per month; weekday call runs 5:15 PM–7:00 AM and weekend call is 24 hours per day
• Cath Lab is available 24/7 for cardiac emergencies
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Floating to the Milford Campus may be required as needed
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 reference required for consideration
• Cath Lab experience is required
• Prior nursing license must be free of disciplinary actions or priors
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this role

Additional Information

• Nurses perform invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures alongside a multi-disciplinary team in a high-acuity cath lab environment
• Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination is required; Religious and Medical exemptions are accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
