American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position at a brand-new Level IV Women & Infants facility, requiring 2 years of experience and Advanced NRP certification.

Details

• Level IV Women & Infants Hospital setting
• 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit, 20-bed High Risk Unit, and 8-bed OB Triage
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend and holiday rotation required
• Possible float to a nearby Labor & Delivery unit if needed
• Maintains 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in active labor and up to 2 patients in early/latent labor per AWHONN guidelines
• Two-shift orientation provided

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Current NRP and NRP Advanced certifications (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
• Fetal monitoring certification required (AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent within past 2 years if not covered by facility competency exam)
• Experience with Magnesium and insulin drips required
• Advanced external fetal monitoring experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Serves as charge nurse for both the L&D and High Risk units, and as baby nurse for deliveries
• Strong commitment to attendance required, with no tolerance for call-offs
