Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an IMC/Progressive Care Stepdown position at a Joint Commission-accredited community hospital and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and prior ICU background.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• 13-week travel contract
• Progressive Care/Stepdown unit with 30 beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, CABG (POD 2), acute respiratory failure, AFib with RVR, ALIF, and XLIF
• Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
• Floating required to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, as well as ED holds when applicable
• On-call responsibilities required
• Every other weekend required
• EMR: Medhost

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

• Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
• Joint Commission accredited, 171-bed community hospital serving as a regional referral center
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted; 48-hour weeks may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Weekly orientation schedule in place
• Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — near Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
