Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission Accredited community hospital in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care or PACU experience.

Details

• PACU unit located on the 2nd floor of a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• Level III Trauma Center, Joint Commission Accredited, and Certified Chest Pain Center
• 12-bed PACU unit with patient ratios of 2:1 or 4:1 depending on area of care
• Shift hours are 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Call required approximately 5–6 days per month, including 1 weekend day and 1 Friday per month; staff select call shifts based on a rotation
• Float required within the ACU and PACU (pre-op, Phase I and Phase II recovery)
• EMR systems in use: Medhost and CQI
• Navy blue scrubs required (facility provided)

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: ACLS and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU, ICU, or Cath Lab experience required
• Critical care background (PACU or ICU) is required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• PACU team also staffs Cath Lab recovery; Cath Lab experience is preferred
• Travel nursing experience is preferred
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere concurrently
• Lake Havasu City offers outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking, with scenic lake and mountain views
• Conveniently located within driving distance of Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon National Park (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
