Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a Cardiac Short Stay unit, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience including cardiac unit experience and competency with venous sheath pulls.

Details

• Work in a Cardiac Short Stay department within a hospital setting
• Unit primarily cares for pre- and post-cardiovascular lab (CVL) procedure patients
• Department operates 24 hours a day to support patient throughput
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts (0600–1830)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must work 2 out of 3 holidays
• Charting performed in Cerner PowerChart

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required; pending license accepted if application is submitted within 24 hours of offer
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, with at least 1 year on a cardiac unit
• Competency with venous sheath pulls required

Additional Information

• Provide pre- and post-procedural nursing care for cardiovascular lab patients
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
