American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel contract in an Ortho/Trauma Unit, requiring at least one year of RN experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Works in an Ortho/Trauma Unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Candidates with charge nurse experience are highly preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans and discharge information with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous travelers or workers who have completed a 26-week assignment at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract
• This facility has strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
