American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuroscience ICU/IMCU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of neuro ICU experience and the ability to float between ICU and stepdown units.

Details

• Position is located in a Neuroscience ICU/Stepdown (IMCU) unit (8AB) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Floating between the Neuro ICU and stepdown unit is expected
• Patient ratios are 1:2 in the ICU and 1:3–4 in the stepdown
• Schedule is 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required (certification card required for consideration)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro ICU or IMCU specialty
• Strong neuroscience nursing background required, as reflected on work history
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced, and complex patient cases
• Work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration
• Skills checklist matching the neuro ICU/IMCU specialty required for consideration

• This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex, diverse, and severe cases across a large patient volume
• Nurses will provide critical care to neuroscience patients and may transition between ICU and IMCU stepdown depending on unit needs
