American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 3 Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Certified facility, requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications with night shift availability.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital Emergency Department with 12 beds
• Level 3 Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Certified facility
• Typical ED patient population with standard emergency diagnoses
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, rarely 1:5
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every third weekend required
• Potential holiday coverage required
• EMR systems used: Paragon and Touchworks (Allscripts)
• Nurse aides available on unit; no IV team
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 (combination of in-house and on-call)
• Pharmacy services available 24/7 (combination of in-house and remote)
• Hospitalist support available
• No floating requirement
• Drips administered on unit; ventilator management occurs occasionally with RT support
• Telemetry skills required; basic cardiology strip reading knowledge needed

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Basic cardiology/telemetry strip reading skills required
• Experience with drips required
• BSN not required
