American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a freestanding ED in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care ED experience and a full suite of emergency certifications including TNCC.

Details

• Work setting is a freestanding emergency department (FSED) with 11 beds located in Denver, CO
• Unit is staffed with 2 RNs per shift, 1 MD 24/7, 1 radiology tech 24/7, and 1 security guard 24/7
• Patient ratio is 1:4
• Equipment used includes GE monitors and Baxter pumps
• EMR is Meditech
• Shift is 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM (mid to night)
• Common procedures include EKGs, IV placement, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ED RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI (or approved equivalent: SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• Ability to work mid-shift and night shift required

Additional Information

• ER charge RN experience is preferred
• Willingness to float between ED departments is preferred
• Ideal candidate is positive, flexible, and a strong team player
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
