American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IV Therapy Vascular Access Team position requiring at least 1 year of experience, active NJ or Compact RN license, and proficiency in IV access procedures including PICC line insertion.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiology and Imaging Services department with a primary focus on IV vascular access
• Patient population spans all age groups, requiring age-specific nursing care
• Responsibilities include insertion and management of IVs, midlines, and PICC lines
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Charting performed in Epic (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Competency in IV insertion, midline, and PICC line placement required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Copy of certifications required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include inserting and managing IVs, midlines, and PICCs, monitoring for complications, maintaining sterile technique and TIME OUT compliance, reviewing post-PICC chest x-rays per policy, and educating patients and families
• Ensures emergency equipment readiness at all times
