American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Direct Observation/Medical unit position in Urbana, IL, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital medical/observation unit (T6)
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule
• Every other holiday required
• Floating to similar units required
• Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• IV site assessment and IV insertion skills required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Strong critical thinking and independent judgment skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English

Additional Information

• Assess IV sites every 4 hours and initiate new IVs per facility policy
• Must maintain documentation standards as evidenced by passing quarterly chart audits
• Must attend 5 out of 6 staff meetings per year
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any facility within the health system
• 13-week contract
