American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Primary Care Clinic position in Oregon, requiring at least 2 years of direct patient care experience and Epic proficiency in an ambulatory care setting.

• Position is based in a primary care outpatient clinic setting affiliated with a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and major academic teaching and biomedical research hospital
• Patient population spans all ages — including pregnant patients, pediatric, adult, and geriatric — with complex medical conditions and social determinants of health (SDOH) barriers
• Services include telephone and in-clinic triage, care coordination, disease management, wound care, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), reproductive health, transgender health, podiatry, prenatal care, pediatric care, and behavioral health
• Nurses are integrated into team-based care "pods" alongside providers, pharmacists, and behavioral health clinicians
• Visit types include in-person, virtual, and telephone encounters
• Charting is performed in Epic, with a significant in-basket management workload
• Schedule is day shift, 8:00–18:30, structured as 4x10s or 5x8s (negotiable)
• Weekend requirement: no more than 1 Saturday per month
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to an East Portland affiliate clinic location is possible
• Free parking available at clinic locations

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required; pending license accepted if application has been submitted and received by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience within the last 3 years
• Ambulatory care experience, including telephone triage, within the last 3 years required
• Epic charting experience required
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions accepted
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months are required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient visits, telephone triage and advice, care coordination, disease management, discharge follow-up planning, and in-basket management in Epic
• Candidates who are former employees of or prior travelers at this health system must have a reference completed by their previous supervising manager there
• Candidates must be separated from this health system for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Floating to an affiliate clinic may be required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• No RTO requests will be accommodated during the assignment
• Any RTO must be listed at time of submission and may not exceed 2 weeks total
• Solid-color scrubs required (any color)
