American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a high-volume STEMI and Primary Stroke Center in Louisville, KY, working night shifts with required ACLS and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in a 44-bed private-room Emergency Department treating 160+ patients daily
• Patient population includes medical, trauma, cardiac, stroke, and psychiatric cases
• Facility is a designated STEMI Center and Primary Stroke Center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7PM–7AM

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care including assessment, treatment, care coordination, and patient/family education
• Responsibilities include facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities in a fast-paced ED environment
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation audits
• BSN is preferred but not required
