American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Clinic/Outpatient position with pediatric experience and Epic proficiency in a Mon–Fri day shift setting.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting primarily supporting the pediatric department
• Ability to float to OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Internal Medicine clinics as needed
• Uses Epic EMR, vision screener, and EKG equipment
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• No holidays and no on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active ND or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• Ambulatory or outpatient care experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 80 miles from the facility to be considered
• Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years in the same specialty
• All certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient rooming, phone triage, IM injections, vaccine administration, catheter changes, sterile field setup, and procedure assistance
• Navy scrubs (top, bottoms, and warm-up jacket) required
• Orientation is individualized, with 1–2 dedicated nurse preceptors providing one-on-one training; length is based on prior experience and demonstrated competency
• Collaborative team environment — nurses are rarely the sole provider in a department
