American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift CCU (Coronary Care Unit) travel assignment in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and active BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.

Details

• CCU (Coronary Care Unit) in an acute care hospital setting
• 26-bed unit staffed with 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Procedures performed include heart catheterizations, balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips
• Equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT machines, and hypothermia devices
• EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — KS license or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale — AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
• Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• One professional reference is required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
