American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a broad range of surgical skills including general, gynecological, and orthopedic procedures.

• Work setting is a hospital Operating Room serving a wide patient population including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call requirements will be discussed during the interview process
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Required general surgery skills: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, inguinal/umbilical hernia repair, laparoscopic-assisted procedures, partial/total thyroidectomy, and Whipple procedure
• Required gynecological surgery skills: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, anterior/posterior repair, bilateral tubal ligation, dilation & curettage, and laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedures
• Required orthopedic skills: arthroscopy, closed/open reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, and total joint replacement

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Preferred experience includes neurology, burns, scrub/hand/burn specialties, and prior charge nurse experience
