American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring a NY RN license in hand, a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, and night shift availability.

Details

• Hospital Emergency Department setting with a combined Adult and Pediatric patient population
• Pediatric ED experience is preferred
• Clinical skills required include dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, CVA care, ICP monitoring, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, ortho-trauma, pediatric head injury, pediatric near-drowning, CPAP/BiPAP, ABG interpretation, ventilated patient management, shock/trauma, and triage
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30

Requirements

• Active NY RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• General ED (combined Adult/Peds) experience required
• FEMA awareness required
• Epic charting experience required
• Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs are required
• 8 hours of annual stroke education is required; if not already completed, it can be fulfilled at the facility on the first day of the assignment
• Candidates who have been employed by any Guthrie facility within the past year are not eligible for this assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
