American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position in Worcester, MA, requiring AWHONN certification and the ability to float between L&D and postpartum.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting, functioning as a true LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) float pool
• Requires floating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum (PP)
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Epic EMR experience required
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; a pending MA license is acceptable at time of submission, but the MA conditional (temp) license application must be initiated within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Intermediate level or above AWHONN certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of L&D experience required; 3 years strongly preferred, with travel experience considered in lieu of years
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be willing and able to float between L&D and Postpartum
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

• Assigned to a maternity float pool, with regular duties split between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum
• Orientation includes two pass/fail exams: a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each allows only one attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials will be provided prior to and during the compliance process to help candidates prepare for orientation exams
• Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered
• 13- to 26-week contract lengths are available
