American Traveler is hiring an experienced Psychiatric RN for a high-acuity Adolescent Neuropsychiatric Unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an MD or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a psychiatric hospital setting with 337 staffed beds
• Assignment is in the Behavioral Health unit, specifically an Adolescent Neuropsychiatric Unit
• High-acuity unit serving an adolescent neuropsychiatric patient population
• Charting is performed using Sunrise EMR
• Schedule is nights, 5x8-hour shifts (23:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating to any age population is required when scheduling needs arise
• No on-call responsibilities
• Free employee parking is available on campus

Requirements

• Active RN license — Maryland or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with a neuropsychiatric patient population is strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• RNs may be assigned charge nurse responsibilities during a shift
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Up to 1 pre-approved RTO request is permitted for the duration of the assignment
