American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring Level I Trauma experience, TNCC certification, and on-call availability including weekends and weeknights.

Details

• Position is in a PACU unit serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Pre-op shift runs 6:00am–6:30pm; post-op shift runs 8:00am–8:30pm
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts per week
• On-call is required, including weekend, Friday, and weeknight rotations, averaging 3 on-call shifts per 6-week period
• One summer and one winter on-call shift are included within the 3-call-per-6-week schedule
• Float to the Tabor GI or pain center may be required as needed
• Charting is done in Cerner Aecis Surgi Net
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC — TNCC must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU or critical care required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• ICU background required
• SICU, MICU, or CTICU experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides perioperative nursing care in both pre-op and post-op settings
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted but at a different pay rate
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — RTO requests submitted after will not be accepted
