American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for an Adolescent Unit day shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and strong de-escalation skills.

Details

• Adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit in a behavioral health hospital setting
• 6-bed adolescent unit serving patients with thought disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, and mania
• Patient ratio of 3:5
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating between facilities within a 25-mile radius may be required
• No on-call requirements
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active ME RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute adult mental health or psychiatric settings
• Strong de-escalation skills required
• SSN, DOB, Driver's License, 2 professional references, and current license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Business casual dress code required; no ripped jeans, shorts, logo t-shirts or sweatshirts, or open-toed shoes
• Airpods, laptops, and cell phone use are prohibited on the unit
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local and subject to a different pay rate
• Local candidates are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
