Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a day shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in California, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital OR unit with 320 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30, scheduled Monday–Friday as needed
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Post-shift call required from 19:00–23:00 one night per week, with potential for additional call based on unit needs
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating between like units and across all facilities within the state is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the 2-year experience requirement
• Scrubs are provided for OR nurses
• Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) including location and dates
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate; please inquire for details
• RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
• Block scheduling requests are at manager discretion; scheduling requests due to additional outside employment will not be considered
• Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
